Saks Fifth Ave and the San Francisco Opera Guild held an event on Feb. 1, 2012, where 5% of your purchase went to benefit the SF Opera Guild. The event was in the Saks Shoe Department where free flowing champagne, chardonnay, and sparkling water were circulating along with petite Hors d’Oeuvres. The staff were helpful and the other shoppers were really friendly- I even made a new friend. LOL
I’ve never really been to the Saks Shoe Department before, so didn’t know what to expect. But, WOW! They even have a sale section with some AMAZING markdown pieces. The designers they have are the usual: Chanel, Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, B Brian Atwood, Tory Burch, YSL, Chloe, Miu Miu, and a few others- but what impressed me the most was the selection they had! There were shoe styles that I hadn’t seen in other Department Stores. They had the fun colors, the fun designs, the crazy platforms that I hadn’t seen.
I had so much fun! I think I’m suffering from my buyer’s remorse. Or at least, non-buyer’s remorse! I knew I should have bought those boots! Or those shoes. :(
This got me thinking as to why all the fun events have been in San Francisco. Not that I’m complaining, because I LOVE San Francisco, but I met Mr. Manolo Blahnik at the Neiman Marcus in SF. Now this one. Dear San Jose/Stanford- LISTEN UP! You’re missing out.
Anyhow, along with my friend (blogger Shopping Savings & Sequins), we had an AMAZING time and all to benefit the SF Opera Guild. Nothing like giving back to the community!
